Veranda  The island of Java is a rich tapestry of cultural and social life. It is the most populated and the most dynamic island in Indonesia Western colonist discovered the island in 17th century in search of spices and soon decided to stay and colonize in the island. The first human inhabited Java between 700.000 – 40.000 BC, and is known as Pithecanthropus Erectus. The people in the island has since developed into the intricate life in Java as we know today. The people in Java is devided into three main ethnic group: Java, Sunda, and Madura. Today Java is the jewel of the archipelago offering various tourist destination and events, for individuals or group tours, promising the most memorable experiences. |
